Dating. For a word the Bible never uses, Christians have ridden it hard, and this generation happens upon it like mounting a worn-out race horse, unfit to run its course. Whether in books, seminars, sermons, or songs, the trappings and connotations of Christian dating are tired, empty, and ineffective. I know what you’re probably thinking: Seriously, another dating book? What else is there to say? Maybe more than you think. Care to find out?
“Change the Conversation” addresses weak points in the topic of Christian dating and how it can be changed for the better. A short, power-packed read, complete with verses, personal stories, and research, “Change the Conversation” will deepen your perspective on Christian dating and inspire you to pursue God’s best in your relationships.
While geared toward teens, “Change the Conversation” is also a great handbook for parents and student leaders looking for ways to hold meaningful conversations with the teens and students in their life about the pressures and expectations of dating, healthy definitions of purity, and a biblical vision for sex.
This is an amazing book that I look forward to sharing with our daughter. We did the “Passport to Purity” weekend when she was younger. It was very good in introducing communication about sex and boundaries. Now that she is 16 and most all of her friends are dating I am thankful to have another tool to use in having those delicate conversations. Samantha also has some great insight on what purity is that I believe is awesome.

This book offers you an invitation to look at many familiar concepts from a fresh perspective in regards to dating relationships. Samantha brings a heart of gold and a discerning mind as she strives to be in tune with the messages that the Lord has provided for us in Scripture when it comes to this topic. I was greatly encouraged by the section affirming my valuable and significant role even as a single young woman still currently in my parents’ home. I also enjoyed the section on purity and was challenged to think more deeply about the basic concept and how to carry those principles even into marriage.
Wondering what you can do after purchasing the book?
